SimCity 2000 was a city-building simulation video game jointly developed by Will Wright and Fred Haslam of Maxis, as the successor to SimCity Classic. SimCity 2000 is played from an isometric perspective rather than a top-down perspective as in the previous title, with the objective to create and develop a city with residential and industrial areas. Infrastructure needs to be built and taxes collected while increasing the standard of living of the population and environment. The city must not decline or go bankrupt or the game is over.
